Restaurant La Luciole in Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire
Just 300 metres from the Loire, in the heart of Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire between Angers and Saumur, La Luciole has been a bistronomic restaurant run by Anne-Sophie Piquet and Hugo Chauvigné since 2017. We created a warm, lively restaurant where you can discover our cuisine in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Hugo’s cuisine is modern, creative and deeply seasonal. It brings together traditional savoir-faire, vegetables, spices, condiments, sauces and jus to create fresh, generous dishes inspired by travel. Ingredients are carefully chosen from growers, artisans, farmers, fishmongers and winemakers who share our commitment to quality. Everything is made in-house, from the bread to the ice cream.
Anne-Sophie and Hugo welcome you into two inviting dining rooms or onto two peaceful, leafy, shaded terraces. A carefully chosen wine selection, with a special place for natural and biodynamic wines, accompanies the cuisine and the discoveries of the season.
From Wednesday 23 September, our daily set menu at €19.90 returns at lunchtime from Wednesday to Friday. Our bistronomic menu is also served from Wednesday to Saturday evening and at Sunday lunchtime.
Close to the train station and on the Loire à Vélo cycle route, La Luciole has a large free car park opposite the restaurant. We also welcome family gatherings, groups and business events by reservation.

La Luciole grew from a shared vision, travel, discoveries, encounters and many experiences in restaurants in France and abroad. Our restaurant brings together our passion for our craft, our love of sharing and our endless curiosity.
We wanted to create an eclectic place open to everyone: epicureans, food lovers, those celebrating and those taking a break from work.
Above all, what matters here is what you eat and drink! We carefully select our ingredients from growers, winemakers, artisans, fishmongers and farmers who share our passion for excellence and quality produce.
